Ocean With David Attenborough

The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation in London for the World Premiere of Ocean with David Attenborough

On the occasion of Earth Day and ahead of the global cinema release of Ocean with David Attenborough, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation proudly participated in the film’s premiere in London.

Representing the Foundation were Mr. Olivier Wenden, Vice-Chairman and CEO, and H.E. Mrs. Evelyne Genta, President of the Foundation’s British chapter and Monaco’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

This powerful new documentary, presented by the renowned naturalist Sir David Attenborough and directed by Toby Nowlan, Colin Butfield, and Keith Scholey, highlights the vital role of our ocean in sustaining life on Earth. Featuring extraordinary underwater cinematography and urgent environmental messaging, Ocean with David Attenborough offers an immersive journey into the depths of marine ecosystems—from coral reefs to open waters—while addressing the pressing threats facing these fragile environments.

In a moving moment, Attenborough reflects: â€śThe first time I used scuba gear to dive on a coral reef, I was so taken aback by the spectacle before me, I forgot, momentarily, to breathe.” His passion for the ocean echoes the Foundation’s commitment to marine conservation and echoes its ongoing mission to protect biodiversity and foster a sustainable relationship between humanity and the natural world.

Ocean with David Attenborough opens in cinemas from May 8, 2025. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is honoured to support and share in this celebration of our ocean and to join voices advocating for its protection.
