AS Monaco’s Teen Player Killed in Minibus Crash
In the early hours of Sunday, May 11, 2025, a devastating road accident claimed the life of a 17-year-old AS Monaco basketball player Lorenzo Renou, and left several others injured.
The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. on the A8 motorway near Le Cannet-des-Maures, as a minibus carrying members of the clubโs National 3 team was returning from an away game against Terres Froides.
The young athlete, a standout talent from AS Monacoโs youth training center and a student at Monacoโs Lycรฉe Albert Ier in a specialized sports program, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
